Introducing Shenanikins, a stupidly funny video series on playing video games

For years I’ve been telling my two cousins that in one way or another we should make videos about the stupid, hilarious, and random shit that happens to us in and/or outside video games. With this new video series, Shenanikins, I’m finally making one of those ideas a reality.

These videos are not at all meant to be taken seriously. They’re basically like funny Let’s Plays. They show all of the humorous things that occur when my cousins (hence the “kins” part in the title), Ryan and Robert, and I — or “Key,” as they call me — play games online. These happenstances can be anything such as inadvertently (maybe even intentionally) screwing each other over, watching one of us literally getting fucked from behind by a Reaper in Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, and witnessing the last teammate take a baffling two-plus minutes to kill or be killed by the final enemy in Mei’s Snowball Offensive in Overwatch (which you can actually see in this first video!). Yes, all of these things and so much more have actually happened to us. We also have a few friends play with us pretty often and join us as “guests” of sorts.

Honestly, these videos will not be family friendly because everything that happens in the videos happens exactly as if we were playing games like any regular night, and we, well, like to curse. Furthermore, I’m not even sure people will find them comical, but it’s at least pretty damn funny to us. We hope someone will get at least some entertainment out of it, or perhaps remind someone of the funny-ass moments they have with their online party. This video is also experimental, so things from the editing to the transitions between scenes and the intro and outro could be changed. If you have any constructive criticism to offer let me know!

Shenanikins is also the first step into me hopefully adding more YouTube videos because the capture card I’m using, the AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 (a Plus version with 4K recording pass through is available here), is pretty damn awesome.

Anyway, be sure to check out the video, share it on all social medias (even Myspace), and give it a thumbs up or down if you liked it or hate its guts!
